What is May 29th?
Probably working in the yard and/or smoking some meat.
I haven't watched the race since the split. No reason to start now.

I'll be watching Indy since I'll probably have nothing better to do. Hope the rain messes with things and that Sebastian kicks ass.

Probably working in the yard and/or smoking some meat. Yep, always a big weekend for smoking some Q. Should have the briskets finished, wrapped in heavy foil and towels, and in the cooler resting until dinner while I watch the F1 race off the Replay.

:p Hopefully fishing with a cold brew in hand and maybe listening---though that King dude on the radio broadcast made me turn off the race early last year.
What will you be doing May 29th?
Why do you ask? You trying to get an invite to SpaKoLee's house? :gomer:

that's mean doodle. go back to ice fishing or curling.
Since I've joined the Gomer free, I've joined this whole subculture of suburbanites who BBQ on Memorial Day weekend. They aren't very interesting, but they know how to eat.
Last year was the first year I missed the race completely, no TV or VCR replay.
I didn't miss it at all.

Working in my yard and listening to baseball.
tubin' down the Guadalupe River.
Whitewater rafting down the Yampa River ! ! !
Third straight race-free Memorial Day weekend (backpacking in the Flat Top Wilderness '03 and summitting Mt. Quandry in '04).
I walked out after PT won '02 ... :flame: ... and have no desire to return. I find other time for the family.

i avoided it in 97-99 when there was no reason for me to watch.
i was (forced) to be at church the next 3 years when i wanted to watch.
after paul got bent over and massively reamed in 2002, i swore off the place as long as that f00king ass has anything to do with that track. i won't watch ANYTHING that happens at there; f1, winston cup, golfing tournaments, NOTHING.
this year, going to be working, not that i'll miss much anyway.

I'll definately wath the F1 race. I will likely listen to parts of the 500 on radio as I do yard work and/or run errands. At night, I will probably watch it on tape delay (I live within the blackout area) unless there are bad storms like last year :(
Anything but Indy. Haven't watched since the 497.5 sham, and I don't plan to ever again. Hoping it'll be warm enough to take our 18 mos. old to the pool.
Oh, and definitely watching F1, and prolly parts of the CC 600.

Wine tasting, cuisine eating, and Jazz festival watching in the Napa Valley. I might catch the F1 race depending on the hotel's choice of cable broadcasts.

Indeed. ;)
B Penthouse.
I skipped last year, wasn't anything new. Danica (Robin Miller's favorite woman driver of all time) and Bourdais should give this 500 a couple extra storylines. Penske Toyotas Vs AGR, Rahal, Haas Hondas. I doubt the winner will come from anywhere else. Unless someone pulls one out of the hat fuel mileage wise. Wheldon.

It's a racing weekend for me, lots of cars to flag for an drag out of tire walls.
Like I always say, "We're not there for when the cars go fast - we're there when they come to a sudden stop..."
Probably working in the yard and/or smoking some meat.
I haven't watched the race since the split. No reason to start now.
Most people smoke cigarettes. :D

Watching the race and cussing at the broadcast team.
 Sadly. The way I see it, I'll learn more with no volume.
Yeah, I'll be watching, but one thing Brick. On the Seabass kicking ass choice, my selection, you should put a semi-colon and add:
"Watching or listening to Bruno blame everyone and everything else for his own shortcomings."

probably watching the grass grow in my new house yard... better than watching either one of those races...

no change in plans for me.
Same here, although if it rains I'll be cleaning the garage instead of working in the yard.
Still smoking meat. Baby back pork ribs. Mmmmm :D

This is top secret, so don't tell anyone, but... Given all the press attention Danica has gotten this year, this is the line up for next year's race.

Since I've joined the Gomer free, I've joined this whole subculture of suburbanites who BBQ on Memorial Day weekend. They aren't very interesting, but they know how to eat.
Every year for 10 , maybe 12 years, I have gone to my dads for a neighborhood cookout. This years it just family, but every year I have to listen to the clueless talk racing. And every year, about every 50 miles, someone suddenly remembers the race is on and says 'whos leading', and then goes back to their burger. Ill also get the 'why arent you out there today?', and the 'what cars did you do?', and the 'what do you think needs to happen to fix the split?', and 'The indy 500 is the iNdy 500....its the biggest race in the world no matter what you think'.
This year will be no different on all counts. :shakehead
The good part is I drink away the pain and eat grill-food til I cant move.

I'll be watching the F1 race, then it's off to church. After that, I'll be mowing my lawn. After that, I'll be munching popcorn and watching the new Star Wars flick at the local movie house.
Watching F1 this AM. Then I'm headed to a Cardinals BB game I got free tickets to yesterday. Then home and maybe FF through the 500 I taped and possibly watch the 600 which should put me right to sleep.
Small change in my plans, I get to start the day by going into work for a half hour. It takes me longer then that to get to work. :shakehead
