also, why have they gone to an external transponder on the right side of the nose? where did they put them before?

On the original post.........I dont think there is much difference on the two post vs. carbon shroud version of the front wing mount. I have seen many teams run both and usually they settle on the above version, if anything, for ease of install. I cant comment too deeply on it, But I really dont think its an issue from where I stand. Seabass would do good if he had them or not, and the not-fast guys.....would be not-fast with or without.

The scoring cover on the side of the tub behind the nose is new for this race. I dont know why they are changing this. I dont know what is commonplace and what is team specific, so I wont comment on where it used to be......Just to cover my rump. But I can say, IRL has had it in this position for years. Just one more d***ed thing for me to paint as I see it :)

Just teasing. This post proves what I have saiud for years...simple, solid colored paint jobs tend to attract alot more attention that the trick ones. In person, trick paintjobs rule. print and tv? Solid is better.

I was talking about the bump PainterGeek mentioned that they've added to the nose of the car for the timing unit. If you look at the PKV pic I posted above you can see it hanging off the driver's right side of the nose.

Ok......Im no good at multi-quoting, so Ill answer three thoughts below:


The big skinny thing on top of the roll bar is the camera. All cars have the mount there, but not all cars get the camera.

The scoring 'wart' is not on the nose, Its behind the nose on the side of the tub.

The 'dont look at it from the left side' comment was in reference to the person who said "I like this car, at least its not red, and ofr a mexican team, thats saying something'. The left side of the car is riddled with red highlights.
