Attention Indy 500 participants:

In order to preserve the integrity of The Indy 500 tradition and keeping a "full field" of 33 cars, we are instituting rule 43A.204c from the IRL rulebook. As you know, this allows the IRL to fund up to 3 additional cars from the year end prize money awards. While we do not know the final financial implications and its affect on each participant, we felt it important to apprise you of this action. Please do not contact us with questions at this time; we will update following the race this weekend.
