I love how building sponsorship interest around a solitary race in Indianapolis=a bad strategy, but building sponsorship interest around a solitary race in Korea=a good one.
shut up while you can young grasshoppah.

well to be fair, one of those is economically important in international industry, the other's just some hole in the rustbelt
*ducks*
however I'm not holding my breath on sponsorship, but if the local govt's want to fund it, cheers!

Oh I will, I need it to look nice and shiny for the possible autocross that might be held at the Cleveland GP. :)

is that supposed to be like the british and german sponsors that came along after the euro experiment?Forget that, out of a total of 5 sponsorship goldmine Canadian and Mexican races, how many Canadian and Mexican sponsors do you actually see on the sidepods?
Even if it is not realistic to expect sponsorship from Korean companies, the model has worked in the past.
CART had Canadian and Mexican team sponsors. The last guard squandered most of them before they left.
CCWS was started with very few sponsors. It is glaringly obvious the series is lacking in sponsorship, but two cars on the grid are Aussie sponsored. Coincidence CCWS races there?
Once CCWS renews its contracts with Monterrey, etc., we might see more sponsorship coming on board. CCWS is becoming a stable entity, something it wasn't for a long time.
I'm sure the investors CCWS expect sponsorship to come into the series, the model has worked in the past. Might as well try it.
Not to say you can't go after the Marconis, GI Joes and Freightliners too.
