#4/#5 in ranking, #3 RPI, something like 26-1 in out of conference play, swept Stanford and won the 'Zona series, and we're not a national seed, doesn't look like a problem on our end, more like the selection committee not knowing jack, *shrug*
we did the same thing the year after we won the title having to go to Tallahassee for supers, took down 60 win FSU in a sweep, we'll just do it again, Ole Miss? color me yellow :gomer:

Beavers finished game 1 on top, and were riding the Trojans hard in game 2, but in the end the Trojans stuck it to the Beavers in the bot of the 8th, 9th, 10th. Trojans below Beavers 7-10 in the bottom of the 7th after the Beavers' quick start to game 3 :gomer:

props to Ole Miss, they played hard, put together some good rallies and didn't pitch too badly for the most part.
out of the 15 teams from SEC/ACC, only 2 advance to Omaha, of the 5 big 12 teams 3 of them make it :gomer: OVER-RATED!
Longhorns and Sun Devils the only teams w/ title cred in Omaha.
OSU vs. Tulane | Texas vs. Baylor
Nebraska vs. ASU | Florida vs. Tennessee
Tulane Baylor Texas all in one bracket, stacked... will be tough to make it out of there especially since Baylor has our number this year
Tenn and UF have bats but I think ASU or Nebraska makes it through to the final on that end.

my brother in Omaha says that due to the huskers being in the tourney , there's going to be hugh crowds and getting tickets to the huskers games is about impossible. BTW is Tulane going in as the favorite or is it the huskers with basically home field?

trauma: I'd say no one's the fav, this is the most balanced field I've seen in a while, every single one has a legit chance imo, Oregon State having the toughest chance due to bracket...
and ya, Rosenblatt will be solid red, but that'll just add to the great atmosphere! that didn't help the huskers in I think '99 and '01 or whenever, but this team is ALOT better than those were...

a little off topic but hope college baseball goes this route soon
The ping of aluminum will soon be replaced with the crack of wood in North Dakota high school baseball games.
The North Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors voted 10-1 Tuesday to make the move from aluminum bats to wood in Class A and B baseball beginning in the fall of 2007.
North Dakota will be just the fourth state to exclusively use wood bats.

I did go to a couple UF baseball games (they were always free) to watch the QB play 3rd base, but I've basically stayed away from baseball all my life. I lived in Wrigleyville during the '94 strike and loved the strike. Parking was easy, ATM's had cash, etc. Strike good, baseball bad.
That said, it looks like its the Gators vs. the 'Horns for the title in a best of three series.
I take on the mantle, accept the onus, and will perform my duty as an OC member and a Gator -

we're doomed, J Brent's arm had to throw a whole 38 pitches and is completely used up i bet, Boone and Cody haven't gotten much time so they've probably gotten fat and useless by now, Kasparek hasn't pitched since the last Baylor game and McCulloch since Tulane so they're probably both rusty by now too

Despite the fact that I hate baseball, I had to root for the Gators. I didn't watch the games, but I hope they at least tried to cheat.
I guess when it came down to it, the homefield advantage in Texas North was too much for the Sunshine Boyz to overcome. :p
