Please. No "The Joshua Tree" by U2? I don't think so.

Hardly surprising - Spin has always been over the top in their love for Nirvana, Radiohead and PJ Harvey. Throw in a few token rap/hip-hop picks and there you have it.

Hey. Pop muzik is a matter of opinion. It's all disposable crap, so listen to what you like. Trying to ascribe undue significance to what is mostly the output of a committee of dumb guys is the worst kind of kitsch-think.
For the rekkid: I don't care for most of the "stuff" on the list.

Nevermind was revolutionary at best. The rest of the top 10 list is disposable.

They might not have all been 10-gazillion sellers, but all of those albums sold respectably (some, obviously, more than respectably) over the years.
No Britney Spears? What a rag.

Trying to ascribe undue significance to what is mostly the output of a committee of dumb guys is the worst kind of kitsch-think. You hit the 10 ring with that one groover. Much as I like Pink Floyd's music (recently discussed here), a bunch of guys in their 30's that were still hammering on about their schoolboy angst ruined some of the effect for me. Oh, and Dimebag Darrel may have been a hell of a guitar slinger, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't privy to a whole lot of divine wisdom. :D

Cocaine decisions
80s music was terrible, even before i hit double digits that music was unappealing to me.
the 90s, wasnt that much better
Three cheers for the MTV generation, and another for the up and coming jamster Rintone generation.
