This morning before coming in to work I was watching the news and they were interviewing someone with Champcar/CGP and the interviewer mentions that “you have a lady racer here this weekend” to which the guy responded something like this “yes she is with our Atlantic development series and she won the season opener – She is the only lady who has actually won a race in recent years”

I'm not for crass exploitation of the gal's gender either. It ain't CART/CHAMPCAR's style. But there should be more photos and info available for the people.
As a public service to you, the race fan, I did a Google image search for "LEGGE". This was right there, on the first search page:

I say we have ALOT to work with.....

Well, that would certainly end the driver weight debate. Looks like she's naturally carrying 20 extra pounds of ballast.

He was clearly talking about auto races, and obviously was a swipe at Danica and not intended to take anything away from Savoy (sp?).

Quote from Eidswick:
Q: Champ Car has proven it has the money to hold off the wolves. But you have created another monster, Danica Patrick. How do you plan to counter that offensive?
A: Danica Patrick has attracted a lot of attention about how competitive women are in open-wheel racing. We congratulate her on her accomplishments. Last year, she ran in the Toyota Atlantic Series as a stepping stone in her career. This year, we have another very capable woman driving in the series in Katherine Legge. Earlier this year, at Long Beach, Katherine proved herself very well, establishing a record as the first woman to win a major open-wheel race in North America.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw that picture was neither "shooting guard" nor "also runs cross country"
a great athlete... one of three local players for Shenandoah... was a two-time Winchester Star Player of the Year as a prep star at nearby Sherando High School... a solid shooting guard who will most likely keep her starting role this season...has the versatility to play either guard spot... also runs cross country and plays tennis for the Hornets... a business major... As a freshman: played in all 24 games... was named Dixie Conference Rookie of the Week after lighting up conference rival Greensboro College for 21 points on February 15... As a sophomore: played in 25 games and averaged 7.5 points per contest...As a junior: led the team in scoring with 12.9 points per game...also had 68 assists and 34 steals.
What sort of material would that size sports bra be made of?

I think the World of Outlaws is more "major" than Atlantics, considering that in WoO, you have to beat fulltime professional racing drivers.

It was Savoie, this year's last name is Sampey.

If I recall correctly, Seeling was the 1st husband. Nick Savoie was #2. Sampey is her maiden name - but she's trying to get Guy Smith's phone #.

Thanks for the info. I wondered what the deal was...but knew it probably was 2 husbands anyway.

OK you goofballs, she's just your regular young woman. Not a toad, but you probably won't see here in an FHM layout in skimpy leather drawers and halter anytime soon... at least we can always hope not.
