I would bet that race provided PP with his share of "WHOA!"s for the season.

Actually I watched the last 25 laps or so and thought they did a good job.

Agreed. I'm a closet Paul Page fan though, I think he's a fine announcer.

Yeah try as I may to dislike the guy.... I can still hear in his voice in my head after all those years of watching him.....and he never really bothered me that much.

Just let us know if you and JHK hear any other "voices" in your head, before you go and do something silly !
But you are right, when you listen\watch old videos of the CART days in the mid - late 90's, it is Porky Page that you hear.... he'll forever be the "voice" of the latter days of CART. Good or bad....

Anyone got a tape or disc recording they're willing and able to send me? And needless to say it's not Page's performance I'm interested in.

Page did a good job on Sunday. He was better thatn Chris Mclure would have been - I actually think he did better than Rick Benjamin has been.

Whoa! I was just flipping through channels and saw Paul Page doing a dog show!
I really need to get a job. :shakehead
The day Greg Moore died Paul Page was very broken up on the air and he articulated exactly how I was feeling. I never met Paul but I feel like I know him after that broadcast. The man has passion for the sport and humanity. I will never participate in any sort of criticism of him.

Yep, I thought he did a great job that day, given that most of us who saw the ugliness of auto racing at that very moment knew exactly what had happened. I give Paul credit, even though I sometimes didn't like his announcing style, he certainly exibited grace under such sad circumstances that day.
