"You can write it down: Rubens has signed with BAR for two years," he was quoted as saying. "I’m well-connected [at Honda]," added Piquet, who won the 1987 title aboard a Honda-powered Williams.

Ah the silly season. But I guess not so silly after all.
RB responds, but doesn't deny:

Often criticized in the Brazilian press by Piquet, Rubens took the opportunity to hit back at Nelson: “Why did Piquet have to come up with this story? Wouldn’t it be better if he followed his son [Nelson Jr] in GP2, who by the way doesn't seem to be doing too well?”

Sounds like the story is true, and that it hasn't made life at Ferrari a picnic. Not that it was going too well in any case.

Done deal. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/4731831.stm)
Ferrari have confirmed that Rubens Barrichello will leave the team at the end of the Formula One season.
Barrichello's place as number two driver to Michael Schumacher will be taken by fellow Brazilian Felipe Massa, the 24-year-old currently with Sauber.
Aren't Rubens and de Ferran old mates? It might be fun to watch a pair of "old timers" doing biz in a young-man's game.
