I was of the belief that he should have been. Now that he has been caught and caught after lying, I say no.

It's baffling how so many people will just let it go. He gets caught, says everything he can but admit he cheated. He doesn't disagree with the results, but then says he never intentionally used steroids. As long as he does't admit to taking them, everyone will just let it go and he'll be in the HOF.

And somehow, Pete Rose denying he gambled depite the overwhelming evidence that he did was unacceptable.

Hey, I saw his testimony in front of congress a few months back......sickening now.

In real sports when you test positive you are excused from further participation. When Tyler Hamilton tested postive they didn't give him a couple weeks off with pay, he was tossed out of pro bicycling on his ear. In US pro "sports" when you test positive you get a couple weeks off and the opportunity to put out a BS story to the media. Drug taking losers are held out as heroes to a gullible public because it's good for the cash register. It was obvious how it was going to be when they allowed steroid poster boy Bo Jackson to play at all, and it hasn't changed much since.

The irony is that these oversized morons won't have long retirement years in comfort, they will have relatively short lives of excruciating agony as their bones disintigrate from having all the calcium leeched out. Once the degeneration gets to the point where the artificial pieces have nothing to hold onto it will be wheelchair time. Several artificial bone and joint companies in Warsaw, Indiana and their doctors will be the only big winners in the end.

I have to say from all appearances, the NFL is doing a good job. I know it isn't one positive test and you're out for good, but they do lose 25% of their salary the first time. And yiu don't ever see players come out and try to act like they didn't do it. Like David Boston last year. He got a 1 year suspension and served it (albeit he was also injured).

If anyone thinks that MLB intends to do anything more than give lip service to drug testing the Palmeiro story should put that to rest. The positive test results were known well in advance of his 3000th hit and MLB held the news back to they could beat the drum for all it was worth. Full page ad of congratulations in USA Today, the works. All while they knew he was dirty.

The irony is that if there is federal legislation requiring testing a mandating bans for those that test positive it will have been MLB's blatant disregard that accomplished it.
