Note:
The following is a suggested ammendment to the Champ Car rule book related to a Team Championship.
7.3.4. Team Championship Cup.
7.3.4a. Eligibility: The Team Championship Cup is open to all teams who compete in the Champ Car World Series.
7.3.4b. Qualification: The team designated shall be determined by the official entry list for each race as published. Changes in driver lineup that may occur during the season will not cause a new entry in the Team Championship Cup.
7.3.4c. Point System: Each team will score the same number of points as are scored by the driver (Refer to 7.1. herein) of their two highest placed cars to be listed in the official results of each race in the Champ Car World Series.
Clarification:
Points awarded to team are from the driver points earned while driver was with the team (maximum of two-cars earning points per team). If a team enters three cars in any event, only the top two point earning drivers of that team are calculated for the team championship.
