SPEED, Miller, says Wheldon is gone...to an F-1 testing roll and a possible '07 ride, probably with Williams. Huh.

how much is he paying for the ride?
how much is he paying for the ride?
Wheldon will probably pay with the ending of his career as a driver. F1 testing seems to be a dead end deal for a lot of talented drivers.
If Williams is really talking to Wheldon it is most likely in the vague hope that he might come with Honda F1 engines.
Has any driver ever stepped into a test driver position and ended up better off the following year?

He should stay in the IRL to battle other past IRL champs like, Sam Hornish Jr. and Scott Dixon! :gomer:
I remember when winning the 500 and season championship in the same year actually got you a front line ride.

don't know but jungle boy says it's a buy ride
I knew it would be hard to race for Williams in ‘06; Nico did a good job in GP2 and has the backing of companies that want a German driver to fill Michael Schumacher’s shoes when he retires,” the “Jungle Boy” told the Brazilian media. “What surprised me is that the team is looking for ride-buyers for the third driver spot.”
