View Full Version : Yoong with DCR in Monterrey?
Reports are coming out that Dale Coyne Racing will be running Alex Yoong instead of notsoSpeedy Gonzalez this weekend.
Interesting, if true. But CART.com still lists Roberto Gonzalez among the drivers.
Surprising that they would pull him for the Mexico round, but Gonzalez already lost one seat when his check didn't show up.
I wonder if this is just a money deal, or if Coyne might be thinking he can actually be upgrading his team?

This might be the most exciting news in the world of open-wheel racing since Pacific Team Lotus announced that Jean-Denis Deletrash would replace Giovanni Lavaggi for the 1995 Portugese GP.
Autosport.com (http://www.autosport.com/newsitem.asp?id=22283&s=7) is reporting that it is a done deal. They even have a pic in the article showing Yoong in the Coyne garage.
It's Practice 1 and we'll know for sure in a bit.
Alex Yoong is on the track.
So, I guess the check cleared. ;)
