As you can see, it's not a straightforward regurgitation of the original Champ Car teleconference transcript by any means...researching the WTCC stats was surprisingly difficult (see how long it takes you to come up with the same info looking through the official series site). And surprisingly BMW had no action photos from the 2005 season on file at all...

I was in on the queue for the teleconference (I really really wanted to ask about why no donuts at Lausitz, which I got answered subsequently), but given the invariably long-winded nature of Alex's answers, only six people got to ask questions during the alotted hour. One of them incredibly enough was Dave Rodman of nascar.com (of all sources), not that I'm complaining... ;)
