There is a report that after Honda's contract expires next year, The Toyota owned Fuji circuit will host a race in 2007.

You must mean 1.5 kilometers, which is still 0.9 miles. The whole old GP circuit was 2.7 miles and the Tilke version is supposed to be 2.75 miles.

From looking at the new map, it looks like Tilke might have actually not done so bad this time. Now if they run the stupid chicane at the bottom left of the map I will say not so good. Racing simulators don't translate, but from my experience with this track, the chicane in the long sweeper ruins much of the end of a lap at this track. I still despise Tilke and all that he stands for in design, but from looking at the track map I would say this maybe one of his tracks that has a little soul.

Didn't the original Atari Pole Position arcade game use fuji? I hope they move back that billboard on the outside of the hairpin.... I used to run into it all the time....

Ive driven Fuji in GranTurismo 4... it kinda sucks, Suzuka is so much better..... this blows

Sure he lengthened it. All those extra chicanes adds to the length of a track, cam.....

Yep, lets get rid of Spa, dump Suzuka, loose Monza to the complaining neighbors and have an entire series of mickey mouse Tilke tracks without any character. :thumdown:
