I was juston the ESPN superbowl site and they had a poll:

5) Which annual sporting event would you most like to attend in person?

54.8% Super Bowl
13.6% World Series, Game 7
8.3% BCS title game
7.7% NCAA basketball title game
5.3% Stanley Cup, Game 7
4.3% The Masters
3.3% NBA Finals, Game 7
2.2% Daytona 500
0.5% Indianapolis 500

Racing doesn't rank very high and the Indy 500 barely registers after a decade of abuse. I wonder what this poll would have read 10 years ago?

Soon the Indy 500 won't even rank enough to be included in these polls.

I doubt the last one would move up but one does have to realize it was a SUPERBOWL site and it's SUPERBOWL time.

Ask this on a World Series site in October and see if it's any different (or any other permutation).

i think i am one of the odd ones who likes baseball and dislikes football. but even knowing where i stand, i still think football wins going away again if this were taken near series time.

I looked at it that of course the Superbowl was #1, but you really looked at it the right way. ONLY 54.8%! That's funny.

I'm with you CTK, I put the World Series Game 7. Ya don't think I'd put either of those two pretender races, do ya?
