This was mailed to me today.
To say, I have never been to Chicago, I must have scored well to be labelled a Surburbanite. :D
You are a Suburbanite. You know some stuff about the city, but maybe it's been colored by your suburban fear of urban life, or you just haven't cared enough about your neighboring metropolis to investigate. Maybe you should.

Lunt. :D
You are a true Chicagoan! You've probably lived here for a long time, or are thoroughly obsessed with the city and its history. Congratulations! Maybe you should run for office.
Don't know the "right" kind of people to run for office.
Have run FROM office(rs) a few times. ;)

I guess that I should score well since I have lived in the area my whole life.

They didn't provide the correct answers.
What really did cause the Great Fire of Chicago, anyways?
Didn't have time to google it.

Legend says Mrs. O'Leary's cow knocked over a lantern.
They now believe it was started by some guys throwing dice in her barn. I think the main suspect is Peg Leg O'Sullivan.
The legend is that Mrs. O'Leary's cow knocked over a lantern starting the great fire. That is up for debate though.
Damn, beat me to it.

And I've only been there once. But now that I think about it, I do recall that I voted twice on election day back in '04...

While the Hancock is a beautiful building, the photo from the quiz doesn’t quite do the whole skyline justice. But it is from a nice vantage point in Streeterville, an historically rich area named after the irascible boat-owning Captain George Streeter:

Actually, its the other way around. The river used to flow into the lake, but all sewage was dumped into the river and all drinking water came from the lake. If the river flows into the lake, the drinking water becomes contaminated.
They reversed the flow of the river so the sewage would flow away from the drinking water source and they moved the drinking water intakes out 1 mile from shore. (The intakes are called cribs)

Umm....real Chicago style pizza is thin crust with kind of a spicy sauce in large pies cut into squares. Even Gino's is part of the problem on this one...
See Baracco's, Palarmo's, Aurelio's, Falco's....That's Chicago style pizza. The deep dish crap didn't get to this city until Pizzaria Uno opened here in 1943. Chicago style pizza goes back way further than that. Trust me, so do my parents. See this link, just take with a grain of salt what they say about Deep Dish and Stuffed.

Thanks for pointing out that I had it backwards.
(now let's see how long you can go without garbage services... grumble, grumble) ;)

Aurelio's is my favorite! The one in Joliet is the best in my opinion. The one in Frankfort has never been as good - too much sugar in the crust. The one in Macomb, Illinois is very good as well. For deep dish and/or stuffed pizza, I like Nancy's or Connie's.

I know what you mean. Macomb was definately not a destination, but was along the way from where we lived at the time (Hamilton, Illinois- across the river from Keokuk IA) to where our parents lived.
