After making a strong impression in the season opening Rolex 24 At Daytona, Paul Tracy will rejoin Graydon Elliott Fusion Racing with MSR in Round 2 of the Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve season, teaming with American Mike Borkowski at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City next weekend.
Tracy brings a wealth of experience to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in the Champ Car ranks, with two podium finishes including a win and pole at the track in his Champ Car World Series Championship-winning season in 2003.
Due to the unfortunate mechanical issues that plagued nearly half the Daytona Prototype field, Graydon Elliott Fusion Racing with MSR wanted to give Tracy a chance to capture his first win in the Rolex Series.
"When we found out that Paul would be down in Mexico City to run the Busch car it was hard to pass up the opportunity to work with him again," said Dennis Bainbridge of Fusion Racing. "Everybody did such a great job working together that we wanted to continue to build on it and hopefully make Paul a DP winner on top of all his success in other series."
